INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON IP BASED SYNTHESIS AND SYSTEM DESIGN

The workshop is the 7th edition of the previous IWLAS (International Workshop on Logic and Architecture Synthesis). The workshop is supported by IFIP WG 10.5 and Medea T505 project on submicron technology. It is focused on the most successful topics and participant interests in 1996 and 1997.

As indicated in the new title, the area of interest is mainly the IP-based system design and synthesis on both ASICs and FPGAs. The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to the following topics:

IP modeling and socketization Submicron technologies
IP qualification New FPGAs
IP Reuse and customization Reconfigurable devices and systems
IP database and catalog
IP insertion in libraries

System design

Innovative IP design System partitioning

IP business on the WEB System floorplanning

Similarly to the 96 and 97 event, the workshop will be partitioned into technical papers, panels and invited papers with a balanced contribution of industrial and academic participants.
