The workshop is the 7th edition of the previous IWLAS (International Workshop on Logic and Architecture Synthesis). The workshop is supported by IFIP WG 10.5 and Medea T505 project on submicron technology. It is focused on the most successful topics and participant interests in 1996 and 1997.
As indicated in the new title, the area of interest is mainly the IP-based system design and synthesis on both ASICs and FPGAs. The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
|
IP-based design |
Impact of the technologies |
| IP modeling and socketization | Submicron technologies |
| IP qualification | New FPGAs |
| IP Reuse and customization | Reconfigurable devices and systems |
| IP database and catalog | |
| IP insertion in libraries |
System design |
| Innovative IP design | System partitioning |
| VSI Alliance standard | Qualification and prototyping |
| IP business on the WEB | System floorplanning |
