Aware, Inc. Announces PMC-Sierra as New Licensee

BEDFORD, Mass. – May 30, 2006 – Aware, Inc. (NASDAQ: AWRE), a worldwide leader and innovator of broadband intellectual property, today announced a new licensee: PMC-Sierra, Inc. (NASDAQ:PMCS), a leading provider of broadband communications and storage semiconductors for metro, access, fiber to the home, and customer premises equipment (CPE). PMC-Sierra is licensing Aware’s StratiPHY2+™ technology for its newly announced ADSL2+ residential gateway solutions.
