Arasan Chip Systems Appoints New Vice President of Marketing
SAN JOSE, Calif.--November 20, 2007 --Arasan Chip Systems, Inc., “Arasan” a leader in Intellectual Property (IP) solutions – IP cores, Verification IP (VIP), Software drivers and stacks and Hardware solutions, announced today that Kevin K. Yee, a semiconductor-industry veteran with more than 17 years of experience, has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing. In his new role, Mr. Yee will be responsible for the management of Arasan’s Marketing Organization, driving strategic and business development, plus industry relations and marketing partnerships.
“We are excited to have Kevin join our executive team,” said Rich Timpa, Vice President of Sales of Arasan. “In addition to his extensive sales, marketing and business development background in the semiconductor industry, he has considerable technical and engineering experience. Mr. Yee most recently served as director of business development at QuickLogic Corporation, a fabless manufacturer of field programmable logic products and embedded standard products. While at QuickLogic, Mr. Yee held several management posts in technical and business roles -- general manager / managing director Asia Pacific and Japan, director of product planning and applications, director of product marketing. He also holds several patents related to his tenure at QuickLogic. Prior to QuickLogic, Mr. Yee was a Sr. research and development engineer at Loral Aerospace, WDL. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineer from the University of California, Davis.
