Intel vs intilop; Intelop corporation announces its name change to "intilop"
Previously known as intelop corporation, was ordered by a district court in Santa Clara County to change their name because ‘intelop’ contains the name ‘intel’. A name infringement lawsuit was brought on by intel corporation who had been in negotiations with intelop corporation for about 2 years on this matter.
Santa Clara, California – June 30, 2010. Intilop Corporation, a leading advanced networking IP developer, customization & electronic engineering design services provider, announced that they are changing their name to intilop corporation as a result of the lawsuit.
When asked why it took intel corporation 5 years to do so and go after a young advanced technology startup company?
“Intelop corporation has been a leading networking IP developer for more than 5 years and we even enjoyed a partnership relationship with intel corporation for more than 3 years prior to the lawsuit, yet they never complained” said Kevin Moore, director of marketing and communications.
“We have heard from some customers that may be it is our latest TOE which was introduced to the market about 2 years ago, MAC and switch IP blocks which perform better than intel’s chips level products, could be a reason they tried to clip our wings” he amusingly quipped.
“Whatever the reason, we will continue to develop and provide advanced network acceleration IPs and solutions to our end customers in networking and network security space” said Kevin Moore of Intilop.
Intilop Corporation is a custom IP developer, SoC/ASIC/FPGA integrator and engineering services provider for Networking, Network Security, storage and Embedded Systems. They offer silicon proven semiconductor IP and services with comprehensive hardware and software experience.
