RFast; XEMICS' Fast RF Evaluation and Development Environment
Neuchâtel, Switzerland and Mountain View, CA May 6, 2002 - RFast is a complete environment for the XEMICS XE1200 transceiver series. The RFast allows you to evaluate RF products, to develop, debug and optimize XE1200 applications. RFast includes RF demo examples for quick application designs. RFast also supports CoolRIDE software and other C development tools. It consists of the XE1200 General Interface Board (XE1200GIB), a target board, demo software and connecting cable.
The XE1200GIB (General Interface Board) allows one to interface all of XEMICS' radio transceiver devices to a PC. The GIB can perform simple tests on the XE1200 series transceivers as well as run complex communication protocols on its on-board microController, this for complete application validation. The GIB based on XEMICS' XE8000 series sensing machines allows for wireless communication application development.
RFast performs basic functions for evaluation, such as configuration in transmitter, receiver or sleep mode, plus features such as frequency deviation selection, filter bandwidth and output power management. RFast support is an integral part of the RFast environment. The software provides an environment for developing and debugging your application.
The RFast environment has been designed so that the programming is simple, using the click-on-button concept. This means that non-RF engineers or non-programmers can work with the RFast environment.
