Virage Logic Appoints Industry Veteran Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Company Bolsters Sales Organization to Keep up with Phenomenal Growth
Fremont, CA - May 23, 2002, Virage Logic Corp. (Nasdaq: VIRL), a global leader in embedded memory, today announced the appointment of Raj Singh to vice president of worldwide sales. Responsible for setting strategies to successfully drive the business and for instilling the values of a customer-centric sales force, Singh will report directly to Virage Logic President and CEO, Adam Kablanian.
With a career that spans nearly 20 years, Singh was vice president of worldwide sales and most recently, executive vice president and general manager, at 3Dlabs before joining Virage Logic. 3Dlabs is a supplier of 3D graphics products including embedded graphics and IP cores. While there, he was credited with growing the international business by 400 percent, expanding channel distribution in 58 countries via 65 distributors and building sales of $70 million in less than three years. Singh also played a key role in the company's IPO in 1996 and in the acquisitions of Dynamic Pictures and Intense3D.
Singh spent five years with Dupont holding various positions including business manager and vice president of the company's Dupont Pixel operation providing leading edge Visualization Graphics to key OEM customers. Focusing on the company's Asia Pacific business, he grew it to be the largest gross profit center in the company.

Singh graduated with honors from Kings College, Aberdeen University of Scotland in 1977 receiving a combined masters degree in English Literature. He went on to conduct doctoral work on Chaucer at England's Manchester University.
