QualCore Logic Acquires LEDA Systems
Full-Service, Mixed-Signal ASIC Realization Vendor Expands Portfolio to Include Analog, Mixed-Signal Silicon IP Expertise
Sunnyvale, Calif., September 8, 2003 - QualCore Logic Inc., an intellectual property (IP) and full-service, mixed-signal application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) realization company, today announced it has acquired LEDA Systems Inc. of Plano, Texas, a leading provider of analog and mixed-signal silicon IP.
The acquisition expands QualCore Logic’s portfolio of digital IP and design services to include a full complement of mixed-signal, analog and radio frequency (RF) offerings. It enables QualCore Logic to fully support the consumer electronics, graphics and imaging, wireless and communications markets with a range of silicon IP, design services and full-service ASIC capabilities.
Financial terms of the acquisition are not being disclosed. The combined company, with offices in Sunnyvale, Calif., Plano, Texas, and Hyderabad, India, now has close to 200 employees and consultants.
“LEDA Systems’ expertise in mixed-signal design was particularly attractive to us strategically and synergistically,” says Mahendra Jain, president of QualCore Logic. “Expanding our offerings enables us fully support today’s mixed-signal SoC design requirements, while growing the business.”
