The MR74052 is a crystal oscillator circuit for use with 32kHz crystals.
When enabled (active mode) the pins XTAL_IN and XTAL_OUT can either be driven by an appropriate crystal or a full swing external clock driver.
Disabling the circuit will set the block to a low-power mode (standby mode), whereby the clock output is held in a constant low or high state.
The circuit uses external load capacitors and biasing resistor.
The circuit uses thick oxide transistors and is placed within the core of the device. It is designed for a standard digital process and uses up to metal layer 5, M5 (all layers above M1 are Mx thickness).
A high transconductance control input, or GM select input, allows for an increased choice of crystals. When high the circuit assumes a high transconductance state.
