The RapidIO Messaging Layer Doorbell Unit generates and decodes RapidIO doorbell messages as defined in the RapidIO Message Passing Logical Layer.
The LocaLink interfaces can be directly connected to Praesum endpoint and switch IP with zero glue logic.
Like all Praesum RapidIO IP solutions, it has been partitioned to support the Praesum fine-grained RapidIO IP architecture. This ensures that only the RapidIO functions needed for each application must be included. This saves valuable power and device resources in SOC ASIC or FPGA platforms.
Features
Compliant with Rev. 2.1 of the Message Passing Logical Layer specification.
Flexile FIFO interfaces support doorbell transmission and reception under hardware or software control.
Supports both 8-bit and 16-bit deviceID formats.
Available either as optimized FPGA netlists, or Verilog RTL source.
