TSMC 30th Anniversary Celebration Forum to be Webcast Live

Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., Oct 23, 2017 -- TSMC is holding its 30th Anniversary Celebration Forum and Concert in Taipei, Taiwan on October 23, inviting the many customers, colleagues, suppliers, investors, and partners from government and across society who have contributed to our three decades of growth to mark this milestone together.

The topic of the afternoon’s panel discussion is “Semiconductors: the Next 10 Years”. Chairman Dr. Morris Chang will personally moderate a discussion between Jensen Huang (President & CEO, Nvidia), Steve Mollenkopf (CEO, Qualcomm), Vincent Roche (President & CEO, ADI), Simon Segars (CEO, ARM), Hock Tan (President & CEO, Broadcom) , Peter Wennink (President & CEO, ASML), and Jeff Williams (COO, Apple) on semiconductor industry trends for the next decade. As space at the forum is highly limited, TSMC is sharing this discussion with interested shareholders and members of the public with a live webcast on www.tsmc.com beginning at 1:30 pm.

Following the forum, TSMC will hold its 30th Anniversary Celebration Concert at 7:30 pm at Taipei’s National Concert Hall. We have invited conductor Christian Arming and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra in symphony size to perform Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy as well as Symphony No. 9 on this autumn evening.

“In the last 30 years, we have joined hands with our partners to unleash numerous innovations in the semiconductor world whose products have been pervasively used in all parts of the world and have made many people’s lives more secure, comfortable and convenient,” said TSMC Chairman Dr. Morris Chang. “Through the process, we have also established long-term trusting relationship with not only our partners but also many of our major shareholders. At this 30th anniversary celebration for TSMC, we want to show our gratitude for all those who have been a part of our history. We have requested the performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, the ‘Choral’, as this evening’s climax, so we can all join hands with the beautiful music of the ‘Ode to Joy’ to welcome the arrival of TSMC’s next 30 years.” More than 2,000 partners will join TSMC’s 30th Anniversary Celebration to celebrate our three decades together.
