Corporate welfare...expect the US oligarchie and administration politicians to pocket most of the taxpayers money. For a new semiconductor fab factory, the compliance, environment, zoning permits and then protests and lawsuits will need 3..7 years till start of construction expect 3 years of construction and 3 years of machine and infrastructure. The working fab is ready in 2030..2035. Like all government central planning, central banking and industrial policy, the results are consistent...huge burn of taxpayers money and no results or negative impact. Chips matters a lot in our daily life style, as if they are the integrated part of our life style, now and then somehow or the other they are playing crucial role. Chips are doing every small and complex tasks, now there power and speed are also optimized, technology size is also increasing, and semiconductor industry is doing hilarious things and many more to go. ✌️
