he WiFi Display technology allows seamless streaming of multimedia content between devices without needing a hotspot. Miracast is a peer-to-peer wireless screencast standard formed via WiFi Direct connections. It enables wireless delivery of compressed video and audio among Miracast compliant devices like desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone and Television.
PathPartner’s Wireless Display stack currently implements the WiFi Alliance’s Miracast specification. The stack will eventually also support Intel’s WiDi specification. The stack implementation will include Source, Primary Sink and Secondary Sink components. Additionally features like HDCP and UIBC are also being implemented.
