Invited Talk:
Delivering complete solutions on an FPGA
Wednesday December 1, 2010, 11:00 - 11:30 | Room: Auditorium
By Bob Blake,
Product and Corporate Marketing Manager
Altera Europe
Advancements in FPGA technology and integration of key functionality mean it is now possible to develop complex systems even into low cost FPGA families, without the significant development costs associated with other technologies. Finally, FPGA can be used as a real alternative to ASIC and ASSP. The engineering challenge remains how to take advantage of FPGA while reducing development times and costs.
This presentation will demonstrate how Altera deliver complete solutions by combining FPGA technology with frameworks which enable internally developed IP and key IP vendors to be combined to support broad market applications, such as video surveillance, video processing or industrial networking. We will also show how enhancements in tool flows will simplify system integration, IP reuse and debug.
