Gothenburg, Sweden – April 5, 2007 – Gaisler Research AB announced that a license agreement has been signed for the use of the LEON3 with Comsis (France). The LEON3 and the GRLIB IP library will be used in Comsis new MIMO solutions for Broadband Wireless Networks.

"This license agreement represents yet another customer confirmation of the LEON3 processor for networking applications," said Per Danielsson, president & CEO of Gaisler Research. "With the LEON3-processor technology, the products of Comsis will benefit from increased performance, low power consumption and a low gate count.”

“We found that the performance, flexibility and the availability of source code for the LEON3 and GRLIB was an ideal match for integration of our own IP for our MIMO solutions,” said Thierry Durand, COO of Comsis.

The LEON3 processor together with the GRLIB IP-library is ideally suited for SoC designs and implements plug and play capabilities, minimizing the engineering effort during the design phase.
