NSCC Launches First AVS SD Decoder Optimized For The ARM Cortex-A8 Processor With NEON Technology (Jul. 01, 2009)
ARM and NSCC today announced that NSCC has successfully developed the first AVS Standard Definition (SD) decoder optimized for the ARM® Cortex™-A8 processor with NEON™ technology. The AVS (GB/T GB/T200090.2) is the second generation of source coding/decoding standard developed by the AVS Workgroup (Audio and Video Coding Standard Workgroup of China).

BitSim launches ARM based Qt platform (Jun. 22, 2009)
BitSim has developed an ARM based system running Linux and Qt. The system hosts a range of interfaces, including: radio communication, USB, ethernet, Compact Flash-card, 2D graphics display accelerator and a generic FPGA interface. The hardware serves as a base for future projects, and a good starting point for prototyping and technology evaluation.

CoWare and EVE Link Electronic System Virtualization and Emulation for ARM AXI-based Systems (Jun. 19, 2009)
CoWare Virtual Platform and EVE’s ZeBu (for zero bugs) emulation prototypes uses CoWare’s fast untimed emulation adapters and EVE’s Synthesizable AXI Transactors. The SAM9G10 further extends the performance envelope – it is clocked at 266 MHz, compared to 188 MHz from its predecessor, with a bus frequency of 133 MHz compared to 94 MHz and consuming no more than 100 mW in full power mode.
