XPM is an alternative to flash memory from new company Kilopass.

Non-volatile memory (NVM) is a part of most embedded processor systems, used to store boot code or application software. Most embedded applications use flash memory, either with the processor or as a separate chip, for these purposes. However, factors such as cost, scalability to shrinking process geometries, and the security of stored information have opened the door for a new type of one-time programmable (OTP) NVM technology, one that is low cost, secure, and compact. This technology is Kilopass Technology’s XPM.
