Intel says it wants to get into mobile. Intel also says it doesn't want to make ARM cores.
That was the deduction drawn from Altera's comments, or rather lack of comments, when asked last week whether Intel would be making Altera FPGAs with ARM cores in them when Altera starts using Intel's 14nm finfet process in about three years time.
The silence suggests that Intel is not inclined to make ARM-based chips.
