Global UniChip Licenses ARM7TDMI Core
CAMBRIDGE, UK and TAIPEI, Taiwan - Jan.2, 2001 - ARM [(LSE:ARM); (Nasdaq:ARMHY)], the industry's leading provider of 16/32-bit embedded RISC microprocessor solutions, and Global UniChip Corporation today announced that Global Unichip has licensed the ARM7TDMI® microprocessor core for use in system-on-chip (SoC) devices for a wide range of embedded applications including wireless, networking and consumer entertainment solutions. The first ARM Powered[tm] devices from Global UniChip will be available Q1 2001.
