M2000 Names Ali Erdengiz VP Business Development
Erdengiz joins M2000 from Altera Corporation where he was senior director of HardCopy business operations. Prior to that, he was with Fujitsu Microelectronics America as director of their "Infotainment" (digital television, cable modem, and networking) product line, in charge of advanced semiconductor development. A veteran of more than 20 years in high technology design and marketing, he began his career in chip development with Thomson-CSF France (currently ST Microelectronics), before moving to Fairchild Semiconductor and National Semiconductor where he worked in both the United States and Europe.
"We are very fortunate to have someone with Ali's great experience and technical depth join us," said Frederic Reblewski, M2000 CEO. "As we continue to expand our markets in the United States and globally, his knowledge of the industry and skill in finding new applications and defining new products using our technology will prove invaluable."
Erdengiz holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ESME, Sudria in Paris; a master's degree in electrical engineering from Universite Paris XI; and an MBA from San Jose State University.
About M2000
M2000 was created in 1996 by three EDA & FPGA veterans who previously started Meta Systems (acquired by Mentor Graphics in May 1996). At Meta Systems, the three engineers developed the industry's first emulation system based on custom FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). The founding team has more than 17 years in FPGA architecture design, and hold numerous patents in the field of configurable logic and its applications for electronic system testing. M2000's current focus is the design and development of state-of-the-art configurable logic technology for the rapidly growing reconfigurable SoC (System on a Chip) market.
