Howard Pakosh Joins Elliptic Semiconductor Board of Directors

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 – Ottawa, Canada: Gord Harling, Chairman of the Board of Elliptic Semiconductor is pleased to announce that Howard Pakosh has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Mr. Pakosh has extensive experience in the semiconductor IP business and is a top sales performer at his current employer Virage Logic (NASDAQ: VIRL).Mr. Pakosh has been involved in all facets of semiconductor sales and marketing for 24 years. He is currently Global Manager for the COT/Fabless division within Virage Logic Corporation, a single source provider of semiconductor intellectual property platforms for IDM, fabless and foundry companies.
Previously, Mr. Pakosh worked at Magma Design Automation (NASDAQ:LAVA) where he was Director, Eastern North America for two years. Mr. Pakosh also helped co-found Xentec, a semiconductor startup that was eventually sold to InSilicon in December 2000, now part of Synopsys (NASDAQ:SNPS).
Prior to joining Xentec, Mr. Pakosh was Canadian District Manager at Synopsys from 1995-1998; and T.E.A.M. Corporation, acquired by OrCAD, now part of Cadence® Design Systems Inc. (NYSE: CDN), he served as vice president of sales and marketing from 1991-1995.
Mr. Pakosh holds a Bachelor of Science Diploma in electrical engineering from George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
