BOPS, Inc. Adds Ed Hutton to N.C. Management Team
CHAPEL HILL, N.C.----Nov. 6, 2000--Billions of Operations Per Second, Inc. (BOPS), a leading provider of digital signal processing (DSP) intellectual property, today announced it has named Ed Hutton as Director, RTP Development. In that position, Mr. Hutton will be responsible for all development activities in Research Triangle Park (RTP) site. BOPS currently employs more than 80 engineers in RTP working in the areas of architecture, software tools, compilers, software, emulation environments, and evaluation boards.
``Ed brings broad business and technical skills to our growing organization,'' said Carl Schlachte, BOPS CEO and Chairman of the Board. ``We looked for a results-oriented, experienced executive, and that's what we found in Ed.''
Hutton was most recently vice president, engineering and product management for Ericsson. He had previously held various management positions at NCR.
Hutton holds a bachelor's degree in engineering followed by graduate level work in VLSI design at the University of South Carolina. He is an instrument-rated private pilot and sport acrobatic pilot. He lives in Chapel Hill, N.C.
