IPextreme Boosts European Presence by Hiring Semiconductor Luminary Jens Kjelsbak as CTO and Establishing European Headquarters in Munich
Jens Kjelsbak is most widely known for being General Manager of the MIPS Technologies R&D Centre in Denmark, where he managed a large team to deliver one of MIPS' most successful microprocessor designs. Previously Mr. Kjelsbak was the Development Centre Manager for LSI Logic Denmark. He also assisted Synopsys on IP and related design services and led the team implementing advanced parallel computing chips at Synergetic Computer Systems. With significant papers, presentations and keynote addresses also to his credit, Mr. Kjelsbak is a well regarded visionary and industry spokesperson.
IPextreme has also incorporated its Munich office into a wholly owned GmbH subsidiary to be its European Headquarters. Michael Cizl, Director of the company's Munich Design Center has also been named Managing Director (Geschaeftsfuehrer) of the new GmbH. Mr. Cizl joined IPextreme from Synopsys, where he was the Bluetooth R&D manager following engineering, applications and consulting positions. He started his career with Compiled Designs GmbH which focused on VHDL modeling and simulation. Mr. Cizl's teams have most recently worked on wireless, microcontroller, multi-media and automotive networking IP at IPextreme.
Warren Savage, President and CEO of IPextreme commented, "Our European investment is being driven by the positive response to our IP preparation and licensing services from large semiconductor companies in Europe. With design centers in the top three global technology hubs (Silicon Valley, Tokyo and Munich) we give our partners thorough sales and support coverage."
