Brian Gardner Named VP of IP Products at Denali Software
PALO ALTO, Calif., December 7, 2005 -- Denali Software, Inc., today announced Brian Gardner as the vice president of intellectual property (IP) products. He reports to Sanjay Srivastava, Denali's president and chief executive officer (CEO), and manages Denali's IP products and the IP development team based in Austin, Texas.
"Brian has a wealth of experience in this industry, and is a great addition to Denali's management team," remarks Srivastava. "He has an explicit understanding of customer needs and an uncanny ability to convey those needs to his team in a way that both motivates and inspires them."
"DRAM interfaces are required on most SoC designs, and represent a challenging design problem that is well suited to commercial IP. Denali was a pioneer in developing configurable DRAM controller IP, and has maintained a leadership position in that space for some time. I'm very excited to be leading the Denali IP team as we now begin to expand the business and support the growing IP needs of the semiconductor industry.
Gardner is a 25-year semiconductor industry veteran, and has held senior positions in general management, marketing and business development at QLogic, OmegaBand, Inc. (an InfiniBand equipment company) and Interactive Silicon (a fabless semiconductor company). Previously, he spent 18 years at Motorola. As General Manager of the microcontroller division, Gardner helped build the 68HC05 microcontroller into a dominant architecture with sales of more than three billion units.
Gardner has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University.
