Cygnal Integrated Products Acquires SiLogiX
Thursday, September 14, 2000, 9:00AM EST - AUSTIN, TX -- Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. announces the acquisition of SiLogiX, LLC, a premier IP provider. "We are very excited about the SiLogiX team joining us," said Douglas Holberg, V.P. of Engineering and C.T.O. of Cygnal. "We started working with them last year as they developed our 8051-compatible core. They did a superb job of providing us with the highest-performance 8051 on the market today. It was clear to us, as our relationship developed, that we should join together to continue the building of a world-class IC company."
The acquisition of SiLogiX will enhance Cygnal?s SOC methodology, design reuse, and high-speed processor design capabilities. "It?s a great fit," said Tom David, former President of SiLogiX. "Our skills and IP portfolio are a perfect complement to Cygnal?s product roadmap."
