ASIC Architect's PCI Express Switch Controller Core Passes PCI-SIG Compliance and Interoperability Testing
Santa Clara, CA -- March 6, 2006 -- ASIC Architect, Inc. -- a leading provider of Cores and Solutions for High Speed Controllers -- today announced that ASIC Architect’s Switch Controller Core for PCI Express has passed PCI-SIG Compliance and Interoperability Testing during PCI-SIG Compliance Workshop # 49. The product has passed all PCI-SIG Gold Suite tests in protocol, configuration and electrical areas. The product has also passed interoperability testing with leading PCI Express switch, bridge, and root port suppliers.
“ASIC Architect has clearly demonstrated its continued commitment to PCI Express Technology. The PCI Express switch cores from ASIC Architect are scalable, configurable and of high quality -- low in gate count and latency, and high on line bandwidth utilization. In August 2005, ASIC Architect announced the availability of a Configurable 4-port PCI Express Switch product. Now passing the compliance and interoperability at the PCI-SIG Compliance workshop for Upstream/Downstream Switch Cores is a critical achievement.” said Kishore Mishra, President and CEO of ASIC Architect, Inc. “ASIC Architect is a very focused high-end IP and solutions provider company. Our products are architected and designed by industry veterans with years of ASIC/SoC experience. We consider all system level issues at the architectural level of our products.”
“PCI Express designs developed by ASIC Architect were subjected to rigorous testing against our SpekChek compliance test suite during the interoperability portion of the Workshop,” said Chuck Trefts, product manager, Catalyst Enterprises. “ASIC Architect designs performed extremely well against this comprehensive testing. Our congratulations to the entire ASIC Architect team on their successful development effort.”
