Botte to Maintain Sound Financial Practices as Company Continues Leadership Role in Analog/Mixed Signal Intellectual Property LISBON, Portugal – March 20, 2006
– Chipidea, the world leader in analog/mixed signal intellectual property, today announces the appointment of Pedro Sacadura Botte to the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. Botte brings more than 18 years of experience to the position after serving as a financial executive for some of the world’s largest information technology companies.
Botte will draw on his experience at companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Philips, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation to ensure Chipidea maintains its excellent financial performance. In his role, he will report directly to José Franca, Chipidea’s founder, president and chief executive officer.

Prior to joining Chipidea, Botte served as the general manager of HP’s Technology Solution Group in Portugal, following his role as HP Services finance director in Iberia, Spain. He is a former board member and CFO for Lucent Technologies’ Iberia management team. He was CFO of Origin Spain in 2000 and served as a financial analyst for Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation, also in Spain. Botte has a Bachelor of Commerce, Dual Major in Economics and Finance from the Faculty of Economics, University of Cape Town, Republic of South Africa. About Chipidea
