Ikanos Expanding Triple Play Expertise with Acquisition of Doradus Technologies
Doradus’ Signal Processing Capabilities to Strengthen Ikanos’ Industry-Leading Broadband Solutions
Fremont, Calif., July 31, 2006— Ikanos Communications, Inc., (NASDAQ: IKAN), a leading developer and provider of Fiber Fast™ broadband solutions, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Doradus Technologies Inc., a developer of advanced signal processing products for communications and consumer applications.
With the acquisition, Ikanos will add engineering talent and valuable technology for communications and digital TV applications. The Doradus team brings significant expertise in developing power- and spectrum-efficient signal processing products for high-performance wireline (DSL), wireless, and digital TV markets. Doradus’ DoraVision™ VSB/QAM demodulator, which is designed for digital TV applications, enables Ikanos to expand its offering of highlyintegrated, multi-functional triple play products.

Upon completion of the transaction, Ikanos will be adding a team of 7 engineers at its facilities in Fremont, California.
