MOSAID Creates Chief Technology Officer Role and Appoints Silicon Valley Veteran to Head Semiconductor IP Group
OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – August 1, 2006 - MOSAID Technologies Incorporated (TSX: MSD) today announced two senior management appointments that will significantly strengthen the company’s core technology and semiconductor intellectual property (IP) product development programs.
The new position of Vice President and Chief Technology Officer will be filled by Peter Gillingham, formerly Vice President and General Manager, Intellectual Property Division. Peter will advise on technology trends, provide leadership on technology development strategies, conduct technology assessments of partnerships and potential acquisitions, and represent MOSAID at industry forums.
MOSAID has also appointed Michael Kaskowitz to the new position of Senior Vice President, Semiconductor IP. Michael has 25 years of technology and management experience in the embedded processing, IP, and electronic design automation (EDA) industries. Prior to joining MOSAID, he was President of the VSI Alliance, the leading Semiconductor IP standards body, and General Manger of Mentor Graphics’ IP and embedded software divisions. Michael also served as Vice President of Engineering at Sensory, Inc. and Cadence Design Systems, Inc.

He has extensive experience in building intellectual property businesses and his skills in this area will greatly benefit MOSAID.”
