According to reports Samsung Electronics has earmarked 15.6 trillion won (about $13.5 billion) over the past two years and coming years to build out Pyeongtaek's line 1.
The company has announced it now plans to spend another 14.4 trillion won (about $12.5 billion) to expand its semiconductor production capacity there with a Pyeongtaek line Samsung also plans to invest 6 trillion won (about $5.2 billion) in its Hwaseong, South Korea, site for a semiconductor fabrication line to accommodate Extreme Ultra Violet (EUV) equipment.
