LSI Adopts Denali's PCI Express 2.0 Solutions to Streamline RAID Technology
Denali's PureSpec Verification IP Aids Evolution of RAID Storage Systems
PALO ALTO, Calif., February 12, 2007 -- Denali Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software and intellectual property (IP), today announced LSI Logic has utilized Denali's PureSpec™ verification intellectual property (IP) for the validation of the PCI Express interfaces in its next generation RAID storage systems for high-performance data protection, data checking, and restoration tasks for server environments. LSI verification engineers depend on Denali's interoperable and high-quality verification solutions to deploy their PCI Express technology.
"Current chipsets demand higher-bandwidth support and chip-to-chip interconnectivity and Denali's IP products support the next-generation protocol requirements for design and verification of PCI Express systems," said John Sherman, logic design manager, Engenio Storage Group, LSI Logic. "Denali's IP products help us streamline our design cycles and provide a clean roadmap for incorporating the latest specifications for our deployment of PCI Express technology."
Denali's PureSpec verification IP software for PCI Express is the most widely used solution for verifying functionality, compliance and interoperability of PCI Express designs at the pre-silicon stage of chip or IP core development. LSI is taking advantage of PureSpec's support of the PCI Express Base 2.0 specification includes dynamic link speed management, link retraining, inferred electric idle, Access Control Service (ACS), and Functional-Level Reset (FLR). As the PCI Express technology and specification continue to evolve, Denali will address proposed features such as improved dynamic controls, optimized synchronization coherency hints, and more efficient transaction ordering.
"Our timely and comprehensive verification solutions for PCI Express technology continue to meet LSI's PCI Express design requirements," remarks David Lin, vice president of product marketing for Denali. "LSI depends on high-quality verification IP solutions that are in step with the latest revisions from the PCI-SIG and we look forward to providing them the highest level of technology expertise."
