ADTechnology Becomes Newest Tensilica Authorized Design Center
Update: Cadence Completes Acquisition of Tensilica (Apr 24, 2013)
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- June 26, 2008 -- Tensilica,® Inc. today announced that ADTechnology Co., Ltd. (“ADT”) of South Korea has become a Tensilica Authorized Design Center, supporting customers of both the Xtensa® configurable processors and the Diamond Standard processor cores. As one of the leading design centers in Korea, ADT is well-positioned to assist the rapidly growing number of Korea-based Tensilica licensees.“ADT can not only assist current Tensilica customers, but can also directly license Tensilica processors to new users,” stated Jun-Suk Kim, CEO of ADT. “Because Tensilica’s Xtensa processors can be customized for the exact application, customers can use them instead of designing custom logic blocks for their chip designs. They will then get the benefit of a programmable block instead of a fixed block of logic, plus the design can be completed much faster.”
ADT has expertise in all facets of System on Chip (SOC) design. They are equipped to support turnkey ASIC projects from design specification to the delivery of finished chips. In 2005, ADT became the Korean DCA (Design Center Alliance) of TSMC, one of the best foundries in the world.
“Our design activity in Korea has been growing, both in tier one accounts and in smaller companies with innovative new products,” stated Steve Roddy, Tensilica’s vice president of marketing and business development. “We’re excited to work with a top-tier design company like ADT for introducing Tensilica to new customers, as well as supporting our existing users.”
