Elliptic Achieves ISO 9001 Quality Certification
Update: Synopsys Expands Security Solutions with Acquisition of Elliptic Technologies (June 29, 2015)
First Among Its Peers to do soJuly 30, 2008 - Ottawa, Canada. Elliptic Semiconductor is pleased to announce that it has been certified to the rigorous ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System standard during their audit by QAS on July 22, 2008. Elliptic is the first vendor in its peer group to achieve this certification.
ISO 9001:2000 covers all aspects of the company's operations from product development to sales and support. By meeting this standard, Elliptic further demonstrates a commitment to provide customers with the highest quality products and world-class support.
The independent assessment is based on the monitoring of development processes, release processes and the capture of customer requirements in a precise, repeatable manner. The assessment also verified that the quality system is effective, consistent, and facilitates continual improvement.
"Customers of semiconductor IP are extremely cautious and concerned about the quality of licensed IP, and rightfully so, mistakes are just too costly. I believe that Elliptic is the first within our peer group of security-focused semiconductor IP companies to have achieved this internationally recognized certification.", indicated Richard White, President and CEO of Elliptic. "While our customers have always recognized the high quality of our products, this third party, independent certification reinforces our commitment to quality and helps prospective customers in their selection process."
