Odds for success in analog foundries

The silicon foundry business is a tough sector. It's not a "build a fab and they will come'' scenario. It requires a solid business plan and financing, as well as strong management, process technology and intellectual property. Most importantly, the foundry business is not a simple manufacturing game--it's a service business.
