Korea, Seoul, September 4, 2025 – BOS Semiconductors (BOS) today announced a major milestone with the successful delivery of fully functional Eagle-N NPU (AI accelerator) samples to multiple leading global automotive OEM customers. Eagle-N is the industry’s first chiplet-based, 250 TOPS (dense) NPU for the automotive sector, combining cutting-edge chiplet architecture with the stringent safety standards required for vehicle applications.

Following initial evaluations conducted by OEM customers, Eagle-N has received highly positive feedback, particularly highlighting its strong performance and the flexibility to support a wide spectrum of AI models, from vision applications (CNN-based) to language and multimodal applications (transformer-based). Separately, benchmarking results demonstrated up to 5x better performance-per-dollar efficiency—for example, 500% better token generation efficiency on Llama 3.2 1B—compared to existing automotive SoCs. This milestone lays the foundation for a smooth transition into mass production in the near future.
The Eagle-N 250 TOPS NPU, powered by Tenstorrent’s Tensix technology, is designed for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), automated driving (AD), and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) platforms. Leveraging a chiplet-based architecture, Eagle-N can scale up to 2,000+ TOPS, addressing the compute demands of future autonomous and connected vehicles. In its first engineering sample release, Eagle-N demonstrated flawless operation across a range of AI models covering everything from CNN-based vision to Transformer-based LLMs and multimodal foundation models.
“Achieving flawless performance on our first-pass silicon is an exceptionally rare milestone in highly integrated, high-performance semiconductors, underscoring BOS’s engineering excellence,” said Jaehong Park, CEO of BOS Semiconductors. “We are expanding our collaboration not only with global OEMs but also Tier 1 suppliers, robotics innovators, and edge-computing leaders, positioning Eagle-N for a smooth transition into mass production next year.”
"Tenstorrent and BOS are strategic partners engaged in developing automotive solutions for our global OEM and Tier-1 customers", said Aniket Saha VP Product Strategy at Tenstorrent. "BOS's Eagle-N powered by Tenstorrent's Tensix NPU, designed for maximum scalability, is set to transform the automotive SoC landscape."
