Samsung is trying hard to secure deals with global clients for its upcoming 2nm process. The company may reach an agreement with Tenstorrent, a chip design startup, to manufacture its next-gen AI chips. If successful, the Korean foundry will use its 2nm nodes for these chips, allowing it to boost its semiconductor business.
Tenstorrent may use Samsung’s 2nm process for its AI chips
As the 2nm era approaches, the foundry market has heated up, with chip makers trying to attract customers with their advanced solutions. While industry leader TSMC has locked in most major clients, including Nvidia, Apple, AMD, and Qualcomm, Samsung has also signed contracts with a few key customers. For example, the Korean firm reached a $16.5 billion deal with Tesla to produce chips using the 2nm node.
