Innosilicon is ready for the LPDDR6 era, and it already has a “leading customer”
Innosilicon, a Chinese chipmaker, has announced that it delivered its new LPDDR6/LPDDR5X combo PHY + Controller IP to “a leading customer in the industry”. This is the first commercial cooperation for domestic Chinese companies. This IP supports LPDDR6 memory at speeds up to 14.4 Gbps, delivering high bandwidth, low latency, and low power consumption for customers.
With its interoperability, this IP enables users to seamlessly upgrade from LPDDR5 to LPDDR6. This gives customers flexibility, allowing them to use the memory type most suitable for their products. JEDEC finalised its LPDDR6 standard in mid-2025, and memory manufacturers have begun sampling LPDDR6 to select customers.
