CAST Demonstrates IP Cores for Leading-Edge Technologies at Embedded World 2026

March 9, 2026 -

Demonstrations and a technical presentation highlight CAST solutions for advanced compression, post-quantum security, deterministic Ethernet, and functional safety.

Woodcliff Lake, NJ — March 9, 2026 — Semiconductor intellectual property provider CAST invites system developers to its booth at Embedded World this week to see how the company’s IP cores can shorten development time and reduce risk for embedded ASIC and FPGA systems in many application areas.

CAST engineers will share expert guidance on the company’s broad line of IP cores, and will feature demonstrations of these emerging and improved technologies:

  • JPEG XL Image Compression — See the JPEG-XL Encoder Core demonstrated live on an AMD® Zynq UltraScale+™ MPSoC platform, illustrating how advanced image compression can reduce bandwidth and storage demands while preserving image quality for embedded vision and related systems.
  • Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) — Learn how the KiviPQC-KEM Key Encapsulation Engine, shown on a Microchip® PolarFire® FPGA, helps designers prepare secure hardware for emerging post-quantum security requirements, and discuss best-fit IP and PQC implementation issues with our security expert, Dr. George Athanasiou.
  • TCP/IP Hardware Networking — Explore resource, power, and latency tradeoffs with the TCPIP-1G Hardware Stack running live on an Altera® Agilex™ 3 device, and discuss networking and compression design considerations with our expert Dr. Calliope-Louisa Sotiropoulou.
  • Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) over Ethernet — See how determinism, scheduling, and resiliency are achieved in a live network of TSN Endpoint and TSN Switch IP cores implemented on Lattice® CertusPro™-NX FPGAs.

These demonstrations underscore CAST’s technology-agnostic approach, showing how its IP cores can be implemented across a broad range of FPGA platforms and readily adapted to diverse ASIC and FPGA development programs.

CAST will also contribute to the Embedded World technical conference with a presentation by Dr. Nikos Zervas:

Enhancing Functional Safety & Security Aspects of CAN XL in Automotive Systems
Session 106 — 16:30 10 March, 2026 — Room Stockholm

The presentation highlights CAST’s work in advanced automotive communication and functional safety, reinforcing the company’s focus on technologies needed in next-generation embedded and vehicle-system designs.

“For our thirteenth year at Embedded World, we’re demonstrating working IP solutions that address many of today’s most important embedded design challenges — from embedded vision and advanced networking to post-quantum security and functional safety,” said Dr. Nikos Zervas, chief executive officer. “These industry-leading IP cores join the broad product line CAST is known for, one of the most complete, highest-value, lowest-risk IP portfolios available anywhere.”
