Over the last three decades, Taiwan has built a world-class semiconductor industry cluster in advanced digital logic. From groundbreaking CMOS nodes to high-volume foundry manufacturing, wafers produced on the island have fueled the electronic industry from mobile phones to specialized chips for computing and AI.
Yet as electrification shapes the global industry and energy efficiency becomes a core priority, leadership is no longer based solely on relentlessly reducing transistor size. It now depends on how efficiently electrical power is generated, transmitted, distributed, and managed across systems.
