India’s C2S program has trained 68,000 students and enabled 254 chip designs, strengthening its semiconductor design ecosystem.
India’s Chips to Start-ups (C2S) Program is expanding the country’s semiconductor design ecosystem through industry-oriented training, access to electronic design automation (EDA) tools, and support for academic chip development.
Launched as part of the government’s efforts to build domestic semiconductor design capabilities, the program aims to create 85,000 industry-ready professionals at the B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD levels, with a focus on semiconductor chip design.
More than 68,000 students have been trained under the program so far, according to the government.
