ViXS Systems Selects Virage Logic's High-Performance Intelli(TM)DDR 2/3 Memory Interface IP Solution for Video Processing Systems
FREMONT, Calif. -- Mar 11, 2009 -- Virage Logic Corporation (NASDAQ:VIRL), the semiconductor industry's trusted intellectual property (IP) partner, announced an expanded partnership with ViXS Systems, Inc. to provide its Intelli(TM) DDR2/3-1600 for ViXS' video processing solutions. ViXS will expand its use of Virage Logic embedded memory IP to include Virage Logic's high-performance DDR memory interface solution--supporting speeds up to 1.6 Gigabits-per-second (Gb/s)--for its high-end XCode video and networking products.
Virage Logic's Intelli DDR2/3 1.6 Gb/s solution enables high performance sub-systems to achieve faster time-to-market, higher data throughput efficiency, lower system costs, less power usage, and high confidence for first-time silicon success. Comprising of a highly efficient DRAM memory controller, all-digital PHY/DLL, and high-performance I/O, the Intelli DDR2/3 1.6 Gb/s is ideally suited to successfully manage high-speed interconnect effects at the package as well as the board level.

ViXS' XCode video processors are currently being used to manage, secure, and protect broadcast-quality video in a wide range of consumer electronics, Set-Top and DTV applications, allowing consumers to easily capture, process and distribute broadcast-quality video throughout the home and on the go.
