NXP mulling sale of standard chip business to China

NXP is mulling a sale of its standard chip business reports Bloomberg.

The division made an operating profit of $264 million last year on sales of $1.24 billion.

It is thought to be worth about $2 billion.

Chinese investor Jianguang Asset Management known as JAC Capital is thought to be interested.

JAC bought NXP's RF business business last year for about $1.8 billion.
