MDA Adds Significant Flexibility to its Unique Analog Design Platform M-Design
Leuven, Belgium, February 24, 2010 – Mephisto Design Automation (MDA), a leading EDA tool innovator in the space of analog, mixed-signal and custom-digital design, today announced the availability of its M-DESIGN™ 3.2 release. The new version, which is released ahead of schedule, features significant usability improvements.
M-DESIGN offers analog and mixed-signal designers immediate productivity gains for their front-end design tasks. Moreover, the platform facilitates setting up and executing complex simulations, verifications and optimization, even across different abstraction levels. The tool also provides support for process migrations, fully automatic documentation and IP reuse.
Since the introduction of M-DESIGN’s major tool revision (3.0) at the Design Automation Conference (DAC) last year, MDA has been steadily releasing 3-monthly upgrades which are offered free-of-charge to existing customers. Among the improvements for the 3.2 release are easier setup of device-level process corners, an integrated Python-based batch interface and improved results browsing capabilities. Also, the auto-documentation interface has been revised.
Notwithstanding tight schedules and agressive planning based on customer feedback, our development and testing teams were able to deliver the 3.2 release planned for March ahead of schedule", said Kenneth Francken, CEO of Mephisto Design Automation. "We are continuously making functional and usability improvements to M-DESIGN and will focus more on interoperability in the coming months."
MDA recently joined Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2) and its OpenAccess Coalition (OAC) to enhance interoperability in mixed-vendor tool flows.
MDA will be attending the Design, Automation & Test (DATE) conference in Dresden, Germany, March 8-12, 2010. To schedule a meeting please email us at date10@mephisto-da.com. For more information on M-Design or to schedule a webcast send an email to info@mephisto-da.com.
