ClioSoft SOS Hardware Configuration Management Platform Selected by Dongbu HiTek
SOS viaDFII to manage design data & collaboration between engineers in Korea and the USA
FREMONT, Calif., May 12, 2010 – Dongbu HiTek of Seoul, Korea, specializing in delivering best-in-class analog and mixed signal semiconductor technologies and high value foundry services, has selected ClioSoft’s SOS™ hardware configuration management (HCM) platform to facilitate collaboration between design centers in Korea and the USA. ClioSoft, Inc., developer of the premier HCM system for the electronics design industry, provides the SOS platform for data management and version control of data within any design flow.
By giving members of design teams the flexibility to use existing design tools and then enhancing communication, collaboration, and data sharing, SOS improves design team productivity and reduces the risk of mask re-spins due to configuration errors. SOS viaDFII, selected by Dongbu HiTek, is a “design-aware” integration of HCM capabilities into Cadence’s Virtuoso® AMS and Custom IC Design flow that enables efficient management of design data from concept through tape-out.
“We choose best-in-class tools throughout our design flow, and were very pleased with how well and how quickly SOS viaDFII fit into our flow,” said Dr. Taek-Soo Kim, vice-president of Dongbu HiTek’s technical engineering division. “The fact that SOS viaDFII is so well integrated with Cadence Virtuoso made adoption of the data management solution very easy. Working with ClioSoft will help us significantly improve collaboration between our engineering teams in Korea and the USA.”
“Dongbu HiTek is one of the most respected analog foundries in the world,” said Srinath Anantharaman, founder and CEO of ClioSoft. “It is always challenging to collaborate effectively and efficiently across multiple sites, time zones and countries. We are proud to have Dongbu HiTek choose ClioSoft’s HCM solutions to enable efficient design data management and collaboration across the Pacific.”
