NXP takes No.1 auto IC slot

NXP is now the No.1 supplier of auto ICs, says Strategy Analytics, following its take-over of Freescale.

NXP has 14.2% market share - 4% ahead of Infineon snd Renesas.

Renesas, which was the No.1 auto IC player in 2014, is now in third place with 10.3% share.

Infineon holds its No,2 slot with 10.4% share.

The auto IC market was worth $27.4 billion last year.

The combined 2015 auto IC sales of NXP and Freescale amounted to $3.9 billion.
