Intilop's TCP/IP Offload engine provides lowest latency and fastest TCP/IP throughput
Intilop’s TCP/IP Offload engine (TOE Engine) is proven provide lowest latency and fastest TCP/IP throughput among the available TOE engines in the market today. The performance validation was independently performed by a major worldwide Japanese Securities company with offices in USA.
Santa Clara, California – July 13th, 2010. Intilop Corporation (previously Intelop), a leading advanced networking IP developer, intelligent accelerator hardware and system developer, customization & electronic engineering design services provider, today announced that their TCP/IP offload Engine (TOE Engine) has exceeded the performance requirements during validation tests performed by one of their flagship customer’s over the past several weeks.
Intilop’s second generation TOE running at 1G bps was targeted for very high rate stock transaction system design application. It delivered the least latency of under 2 micro seconds and more than 118 MByte/sec TCP/IP data transfer rate which is about 95% of the theoretical available bandwidth. “The 2 us latency is about 25 times faster than the most optimized TCP/IP software, which exceeded our customer’s expectations, let alone ours’ said K Masood, President/CTO of intilop corporation. “Our customers say that in this business of high speed stock transactions, having an advantage of a just a few micro-seconds could mean millions of Dollars of added business” he added.
We could not be happier, “The fact that our customers are validating its functionality and performance this gives us added confidence in our flagship product of this complexity” said Kevin Moore, Director of business development. “They will be looking at our next generation 10 G bit TOE also in the very near future”, he added.
Not only it offers the lowest latency, it also offers smallest foot print for a Xilinx V5/V6 FPGA ports, this allows customers a lot of room to grow their designs or use smaller FPGAs, adding to the device cost savings. It is also ported to Altera FPGAs.
Intilop Corporation is a pioneer as an advanced networking and custom IP developer, SoC/ASIC/FPGA integrator and engineering services provider for Networking, Network Security, storage and Embedded Systems. They offer silicon proven semiconductor IP and services with comprehensive hardware and software experience.
