Grenoble, France -- May 27, 2011 -- Power metering is a key function in smart grids, enabling a precise control of power consumption for ecological and economic matters.
Dolphin Integration delivers the highest performances in their new subsystems dedicated to Smart Grid applications: sensAFE-PM-SV.09 merges high-resolution ADCs, with up to 20 bits of sensitivity, for 4-channel applications: current, voltage, tampering and auxiliary optimizing calibration.
And, for easing integration, these ADCs are spiced-up with their required peripheral Virtual Components: temperature sensor, low-drift voltage reference and the relevant embedded power management, insuring resilience to high noise and any cross-talk.
Thanks to this subsystem, users are able to reach up to a class of 0.1 and up to a range of 1/2000. As most components are embedded, the sensAFE-PM-SV.09 offers the lowest cost of Bill-of-Material on the silicon IP market. It is the ideal solution for single-phase applications but can be easily upgraded to a three-phase application for higher density.
For more information about this solution, for most needs expected at 180 nm, make sure to have a look at this sensAFE-PM-SV.09 presentation sheet or to contact Aurélie Descombes, product line manager: email@example.com
