Lattice Will Demonstrate Camera Design Solutions at the ISC West Conference
HILLSBORO, OR, Mar 26, 2012 --Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced that it has released a bridge design to support the Sony IMX136 image sensor. More information about this design will be available at Lattice booth #2140 at the ISC West Conference in Las Vegas, March 28-30, 2012.
The innovative image sensor bridge design utilizes the low power, low cost Lattice MachXO2(TM) PLD (programmable logic device) to interface to the Sony IMX136 image sensor. Applications that can benefit from this design include surveillance and industrial cameras. The bridge design allows an ISP (Image Signal Processor) with a CMOS parallel interface bus to connect to the Sony IMX136. The Lattice MachXO2-1200 device interfaces directly to the subLVDS I/Os of the Sony IMX136, and no external discrete components are required. The image sensor bridge application can support full HD 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second with a 12-bit ISP interface. The design code in the MachXO2 device can also be modified easily to accommodate support for the full 1080p120 capability of the Sony IMX136 for customers who need this functionality.
The image sensor bridge design is available now for download, and the MachXO2-1200 is in full production. To obtain the Sony IMX136 image sensor bridge design files, visit http://www.latticesemi.com/products/intellectualproperty/referencedesigns/sonyimx036sensorwithsublv.cfm.
"The Sony IMX136 image sensor bridge design is the latest addition to our constantly growing camera design ecosystem," said Ted Marena, Director of Business Development for Lattice. "We are pleased to offer this image sensor bridge design so customers can quickly introduce cameras based on the Sony IMX136. This latest bridge design further demonstrates Lattice's leadership in partnering with key ISP and image sensor companies."
Visitors to the Lattice booth #2140 at ISC West can see demonstrations of various image sensor bridges, the dual image sensor design and the latest HDR-60, a high dynamic range camera reference design platform. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with Lattice senior executives and technical specialists about their own camera design requirements.
