Jamie Leland, Content Assistant, Nov. 23, 2016 – Infineon Technologies AG has added two power boards to the iMOTION Modular Application Design Kit (MADK) family, which is aimed at applications in the field of industrial and home appliances. The two half-bridge boards complement the MADK evaluation system with a scalable design platform for three-phase motor drives in the range of 20 W to 300 W, and additionally address battery-powered applications.
Based on the uIPM intelligent power modules from Infineon and with power ratings of 100 V/20 A and 40 V/6 A, the MADK power boards feature an overcurrent/under-voltage lockout protection with fault output and an onboard power supply of 15 V and 3.3 V, respectively. No heat sinks are required.
