Alpha Data releases deployable Zynq SoC board
Offering the Zynq SoC in a standard form factor, allowing easy development and deployment in commercial, industrial and rugged systems.
July 3, 2013 -- San Jose, CA -- Alpha Data is proud to announce the launch of the ADM-XRC-7Z1, the first in a new class of products featuring the Xilinx® Zynq System-on-Chip (SoC).
The ADM-XRC-7Z1 is an XMC Mezzanine card suitable for initial development through to deployment in rugged environments. Supporting the largest devices in the Zynq family, the ADM-XRC-7Z1 provides dedicated USB, Serial and Ethernet interfaces for the Processing System. The Programmable Logic is served with on-board memory and flexible IO to the front and rear. The front I/O supports the large range of Alpha Data XRM adapters for applications including:
- Software-Defined Radio (SDR)
- Radar and Sonar Processing
- Image Processing
- Machine Vision
"Xilinx® Zynq is a game changer for the embedded market. The performance of dual ARM Cortex™-A9 processors, tightly coupled to over 6M logic gates with high-speed IO, allows a reduction in Size, Weight and Power that renders existing system architectures obsolete. With the ADM-XRC-7Z1, designers can now integrate their I/O, DSP and host processing in a single mezzanine card." said Adam Smith, CEO of Alpha Data Inc.
Availability
The ADM-XRC7Z1 is competitively priced and available to order immediately. It ships with a comprehensive Software Development Kit (SDK), including example designs and software drivers. The board is available in industrial grade and air or conduction cooled variants, making it ideal for use in a wide range of markets and applications.
