Alizem Embedded Motor Control Software IP reaches a new milestone of performance
Lévis (CANADA) -- October 22, 2013 -- Alizem is pleased to announce that its recently released Embedded Motor Control Software IP for Servo-Drives applications has reached a new milestone of performance after having been successfully tested at customer site on industrial electric motors with power ranging from 25kW to 100kW. For strategic and competitive reasons, the name of this customer and operating data are kept confidential at this time.
“It is one thing to have an electric motor spinning, but that’s another to achieve desired performance into a real industrial application where all operating factors such as load cycle, temperature, energy consumption, acceleration, deceleration, vibration, etc. are in place” said Dr. Marc Perron, President at Alizem. “Alizem Motor Control Software IP performance has been successfully tested aside leading European off-the-shelf motor drive systems showing results that are equal or better according to customer’s engineers”.
“This new milestone of performance is a great achievement for Alizem and for the world of custom motor drive design in general. In the past, OEM needing to design their own industrial motor drive – to meet specific requirements not fulfilled by existing motor drives or for price reasons or both - could easily buy all components off-the-shelf for their design, except the software. It is well known this is where the bottleneck is because it can easily take up to 5 years to an engineering team to develop and test this software from scratch. Alizem precisely fix this problem with off-the-shelf software that can be easily downloaded from our website, quickly integrated in our customer’s system and paid upon entering into production phase. This radically changes the game in terms of costs, risks and time-to-market.” Dr. Perron added.
